Hamburger

These were the best hamburgers I've ever had. Making our own buns was definitely worth it, I thought. There are no good buns for sale around here. The bun is a recipe from King Arthur. We used 1/2 white whole wheat. The meat is from a local farm. The lettuce is from our garden. We used the New York Times recipe for cooking the burgers. You sear the burger in a cast-iron pan, then put it in the oven briefly. The only ingredients in the patties are salt and beef. They were delicious and juicy.
